Healthy Energy Bites

Looking for an easy, healthy, grab and go snack? Look no further! These energy bites have quickly become a staple in our household. With all 4 kids giving these bites their seal of approval, it seems we can’t keep them around for longer than a couple days. Thankfully, you can whip up these bad boys in under 5 minutes! I even make a couple batches at a time so I’m able to freeze some for later.

They are packed with protein, raw honey and oats which makes it an easy guilt free snack. Every now and then I change up the “mix in” ingredients for some variety! I like to spice up life, ya know?!

I toss in chia seeds and ground flax seeds for an extra boost of protein, fiber & Omega 3 fatty acids. Raw honey gives these bites a little antioxidant boost, as well. Using RAW honey is important because not all honey is made the same (seriously, do a little research, you wont regret it)! I always try to make sure I buy local honey as I am passionate about supporting farmers in my own community!

You can easily change up the ingredients by switching out the chocolate chips for dark chocolate, mini M&M’s or cacoa nibs (although most kids tend to turn their noses up at those). You can also add coconut flakes, dried cranberries or blueberries. Switch out peanut butter for almond butter….I’m telling you, the possibilities are endless!

Healthy no bake energy bites

Prep Time5 mins


  • 1.5 Cups Peanut butter
  • 1 Cup Old fashioned oats
  • 1/3 Cup Honey
  • 1/4 Cup Mini chocolate chips
  • 3 Tbsp Ground flax seed
  • 2 Tbsp Chia seeds


  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Chill in refrigerator for 15-30min. Roll into bite size balls and store in fridge to keep chilled.
